When most people think of an ambulance service they think of flashing lights and loud sirens.  The next thought is a life-threatening or dangerous situation.  But in fact a very large portion of our business involves pre-scheduled, non-emergent ambulance transports between facilities.

ALS - Advanced life support which requires a certified Paramedic to administer care.
BLS - Basic Life Support which requires an Emergency Medical Technician to administer care.

 

 

A single call into our Dispatch office is all that is needed to schedule emergent or non-emergent ALS, BLS, Stretcher or Wheelchair van services.  Every request is professionally and quickly handled by our dispatchers.

 

 

 

Lackawanna Ambulance uses state of the art Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and GPS software to send the closest unit to an incident.

 

 

Lackawanna Ambulance also works in conjunction with various boroughs and organizations throughout Lackawanna County.  This includes Dunmore Borough, Lackawanna County E.M.A. and Lackawanna County S.W.A.T.
